Daniel Yang is a Managing Partner at Pacific Owl Ventures, an operating, advisory, and investment company. Most recently, he was the Chief Customer and Innovation Officer at MGM Resorts International, where he focused on maximizing customer engagement across MGM’s global footprint and driving enterprise-wide innovation. In this role, he led a 1,500-person team responsible for revenue management, MGM Rewards, marketing, customer care, and customer technology.
Prior to MGM, Daniel served as Chief Strategy Officer at Aristocrat, an ASX-30 company, where he led corporate strategy, investments, and M&A. He played a pivotal role in expanding Aristocrat’s presence in global gaming markets, executing transformative acquisitions, and developing a venture investment portfolio that delivered profitable exits in key gaming technology investments. Before Aristocrat, Daniel was an Executive Vice President at Viacom and a consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
